Protected Bike Lane Could Transform Downtown's Hogan Street

Hogan Street has some of the Urban Core's widest sidewalks, perfect for increasing pedestrian traffic or adding outdoor dining.

A city proposal would put a protected bike lane along Hogan and Laura streets in downtown Jacksonville.

Kelsi Hasden with The Jaxson told WJCT News Director Jessica Palombo how that could spur development in that area. That’s this week’s Business Brief.

A city meeting to discuss the proposed bike lanes is Monday evening at the Ed Ball Building, at 214 N. Hogan St., in Training Room #110. The meeting is set to last from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Also on the agenda is a proposed bike lane on Boulevard Street. More information on urban core bicycle projects is here.
