2/20/19: Election Poll; Client Choice Food Pantry; Moo-ve It 5K

Anna Brosche and Mayor Lenny Curry

A new poll is out Wednesday in the Jacksonville mayor’s race, and it shows incumbent Lenny Curry in the lead at just over 50%, with Anna Brosche a distant second. And not surprisingly, it also shows that crime is the issue at the top of voters’ minds. Mike Binder, who runs UNF’s Public Opinion Research Lab (which conducted the poll),  joined us to discuss the results in more detail.

MOO-VE IT 5K

On March 2, the Cowford Chophouse will host its third annual MOO-VE IT 5K, in remembrance of the late Michael Liles, former executive director of the Justice Coalition. The race, which will take place downtown Jacksonville, will benefit the Justice Coalition, a non-profit organization that advocates on behalf of innocent victims of crime in the five-county area of Northeast Florida. Nicole White, Cowford Chophouse Operations Coordinator; and Robert Bracewell, Chair of the Justice Coalition, joined us with more.
